POST OF CLUBHOUSE STEWARD & CARETAKER.
(Service Provider)
Due to retirement of the present Service Provider of the RIBC Clubhouse the club management committee are looking for a new person or persons to take this role. This will be available from May 2023 and will require the applicant to be self-employed, as this is a contracted role, and the successful applicant will be required to enter into a service contract for the role to run RIBC Clubhouse Bar, Kitchen and Facilities.
The person or persons must have a proven track record in the Hospitality Industry and experience running a bar and food business. The club welfare facilities are open 7 days per week; however, the bar is only open certain days of the week, which are detailed below.
The Scope of Service will be as follows,
• Running the clubhouse bar, ordering new stock, cashing up, logging payments on spreadsheet and
banking the daily takings and carrying out the cleaning duties. Hours of work to be determined by the service provider to maintain the clubhouse and facilities and bar operating to a clean and efficient standard as required by the members and customers.
• The service provider will be allowed free use of the kitchen to provide food for clubhouse customers and members as part of the service providers own operating business and all income from this will go to the service provider. All income from the bar will go to the club’s bar account.
• Bar opening days and times would be Thursday evenings, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays, actual times may vary depending on the season and by mutual agreement.
• Service scope may be adjusted from time to time by mutual agreement of both parties.
Service provider Contract Fee.
Fees for the services will be paid in 24 instalments over the year, the fees will be commensurate with experience of the service provider.
All bar service and cellar duties will be provided by the service provider as part of their contract with the club.
The kitchen and food operation will be run by the service provider as a separate entity and all operating costs and revenue will go to that business. Roa Island Boat Club Ltd will be responsible for all utility costs to run the clubhouse and the facilities.
